Three SSMRC Staff Members Named to New Leadership Positions
8/5/2015
We are proud to announce three significant changes regarding our Council's and District's leadership:
The Council’s founding Executive Secretary-Treasurer, Dennis Donahou, has been appointed as the new Southern District Vice President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. Mr. Donahou, a native and resident of Arkansas and a 39-year UBC member, assumes the post of UBC Southern DVP following the retirement of Mr. Danny Maples of Tennessee. Mr. Donahou led the SSMRC from a startup organization in 2010 to one of the busiest and most in-demand labor resources for America’s Southern states. Prior to that, he led the Arkansas Regional Council of Carpenters for 14 years to the same successful outcome.
Replacing Mr. Donahou as SSMRC’s EST is Wayne Jennings, formerly a business representative for Local 1192 in Birmingham, Alabama since 2010. Mr. Jennings is a 25-year member of the UBC.
Finally, SSMRC’s Western Region Director, Rick Halford, a 15-year member of Local 216 in Arkansas, has been promoted to Regional Director of the entire Southern States Millright Regional Council.
Please join us in congratulating these three outstanding professionals in their new leadership roles within the UBC and SSMRC, and in wishing them well in their new positions.
